Every donation of goods helps a Centre County family build a decent and affordable home.
Donate your tax deductible goods to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Centre County's ReStore to make a difference in our community. The ReStore raises proceeds for the mission of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Centre County of building homes, communities, and hope by selling items donated to the ReStore by the community. Our mission not only ensures strong and stable families and communities but also actively helps reduce area landfill waste each year. You donations are also tax deductible! That benefits us all!

What Can You Donate?
The ReStore accepts new and gently used appliances, furniture, building materials and household goods from individuals and organizations in and around the community. The ReStore only accepts what it can sell. For a complete list of what we can and cannot accept, please review our acceptable donations list below.

How Do You Donate?
Donation drop off hours: Donations accepted Wednesday through Saturday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Please call ahead before donating large items to verify we have staff and volunteers available to assist with unloading at 814-353-2390 ext 3.
When dropping off a donation, please enter the store to speak with a staff person prior to unloading. We have staff and volunteers available to help you unload. Please keep in mind staff or volunteers have the right to refuse any donation not meeting our donation guidelines. ***AFTER HOURS DROP-OFFS ARE NOT ALLOWED. YOU WILL BE FINED FOR DUMPING***
Pick Up Service:
HFHGCC ReStore offers FREE pick up donation service!
The ReStore requires all items intended for pick up donation to be in one central location outside, in a garage or on a ground floor location at the time of donation. All items must be ready for pickup and disassembled if needed. If you would like to schedule a pick up for your donation items, please contact us via email restore@habitatgcc.org or give us a call 814-353-2390 x3.
Items We Can Accept:
- Appliances (not older than 15 years) - Refrigerator, Freezer, Washer, Dryer, Microwave, Range Hood, Electric Range/Oven, Small Kitchen Appliances. We do not accept gas appliances. We do not accept dishwashers.
- Cabinets - Kitchen & Bathroom cabinets in good condition without water damage, Cabinet Doors, Vanities - must include base cabinet and vanity top, Medicine Cabinets, Bathroom Storage
- Countertops - Whole pieces only - no cut-outs. Stone Tops <5ft, Laminate <8ft (no water damage or mold)
- Doors - Exterior, Solid Interior, Raised Panel Hollow Core, Patio/Sliding doors; commercial doors not accepted
- Electrical - Electrical Panel Boxes, Outlet Covers, Outlet Boxes, Electrical Wire, Light Fixtures (Ceiling Fans Not Accepted), Lamps, Light Fixture Parts, New Boxed Lightbulbs
- Furniture - Living Room Furniture including: Coffee Tables, Side/End/Sofa Tables, Bookshelves, Couch/Sofa/Loveseat, Armchairs, Recliners etc.; Kitchen/Dining Furniture including: Dining Tables with chairs, Buffets, Sideboards, Hutches, China Cabinets etc; Bedroom Furniture including: Dressers, Chest of Drawers, Armoires (TV entertainment centers NOT accepted), Storage Chests and Trunks, Headboard/Footboard as part of a matching bedroom set - We don't accept beds including the frames or mattresses/boxsprings. Office Furnture including: High Quality Desks, Credenzas, File Cabinets, Office Chairs, Standing Desks etc.; Antique and Vintage Furniture; Work Shop/Garage Furniture including: Work Tables, Lockers, Shelving, Storage Units, etc. All furniture should be in good condition with no broken parts. - Flooring - Unused, in original packaging - Hardwood, Laminate, Vinyl Rolls, Area Rugs (new or used), Mosaic Wall Tile, Ceramic Floor Tile (Minimum 80 sq ft in original boxes), Adhesive Tile, Marble, Slate; Grout and other flooring supplies and tools
- Hardware - Door & Cabinet Hardware, Structural, Brackets, HVAC, Castors, Shelving Hardware; Fasteners - Nails, Screws, Bolts, Nuts, Washers, Staples, Rivets etc. - Sorted and Rust Free
- Home Decor - Knick Knacks, Floral, Picture Frames, Wall Art, Decorative Home Accents, Craft Supplies, Framed Mirrors, Home Improvement Magazines & Books, Seasonal Decor, Home Electronics
- HVAC - Space Heaters, Electric Fireplaces, Mantel Surrounds & Accessories, Air Conditioners, Fans, Duct Work, Unused Insulation, Foam Board
- Lawn and Garden - Gardening Supplies, Winterizing, Fall Cleanup, Hand and Power Tools, Yard Tools, Rock Salt, Grass Seed, Lawn Mowers, Trimmers, etc
- Lumber/Trim/Moulding: > 4 ft. in length - No nails or water damage. Pine or Softwood, Hardwood, Pressure Treated, Decking, Plywood, Composite Decking, Barn Wood, Fencing, Balusters, Structural, Baseboard, Crown Moulding, Decorative Mouldings, Columns, Handrails
- Paint - NEW/Unused Latex Gallons & Quarts; Paint supplies including brushes, rollers, trays, tape etc. Sample size paints
- Plumbing - Kitchen Sinks, Low-flow Toilets 1.6 gal flow or less, Bath Tubs, Showers - clean in good condition, Repair parts, Unused PVC pipe & fittings, Copper, Black Iron, or Steel Pipe, Shower/Bath Faucets (not kitchen), Bathroom Vanity - must include sink top and cabinet, Towel Bars & Other Bathroom Hardware. Cast Iron not accepted.
- Roofing/Architectural - Full bundles of shingles in original packaging, Adhesives, Gutters, Ceiling Tiles
- Seasonal Decor - Holiday Wreaths, Wall Hangings, Lights, Ornaments, Craft Kits, Yard Decorations, Gift Supplies, Christmas Trees
- Storage & Organizational - Standing or Hanging Shelves, Storage Containers, Tool Boxes, Coat Hooks, Wardrobes
- Tools - Power Tools (battery must charge), Hand Tools, Tool Accessories, Garden Tools, Industrial Tools, Antique Tools, Tool Boxes/Storage
- Windows - NEW WINDOWS ONLY
Items We Don't Accept
Any soiled, damaged or dirty items or items with mold.
- Chemicals of any kind
- Linens including: Clothing/shoes/bedding/curtains etc.
- Household items including: Dishware/Glasses/Silverware; Pots/Pans
- Blinds, curtains, curtain rods, draperies, drapery rods
- Infant/baby items including cribs, high chairs, swings, car seats, toys
- Beds/Mattresses/box springs/Sleeper Sofas
- Metal Desks
- TV Entertainment Cabinets
- Office Supplies
- Books
- Medical equipment
- Exercise/sports equipment
- Helmets/hardhats
- Ladders
- Smoke detectors/ fire alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers - used or unused. Refer to item for proper disposal
