Tri-County Habitat for Humanity was incorporated on October 27, 1983, by Robert Olsen, Jon Grindall and Dave Miller, all members of the University Baptist and Brethren Church.

When HFHGCC was originally incorporated it included Centre, Clearfield and Clinton Counties. Today, HFHGCC concentrates its efforts in Centre and Clinton Counties as Clearfield County has formed their own affiliate.
